VII Triatlo Cross Abrantes

Bom desporto,

Porque a água estava a 24°C ninguém levou fato isotérmico, definida a boia à direita, partida...

Good sports,
I made my first cross triathlon participation on Abrantes city.
It did “sprint” version and fortunately, MTB sections had curiously ramps. At fasting I had a hypo, besides eating I only put the normal basal units.

On the place, my time to put everything in place wasn't any relaxed!
On my way to the water I take two fast insulin units, with what I ate 2 hours before and what I felt, my glycemia should be high!

Because the water was at 24°C no one take the isothermal suit, defined the right float, let’s start...

This section - 400m - with 11 athletes, were performed smoothly, I went out of the water in 4 or 5 place. 1st impact, already!
MTB, - 9500m - my sport of choice and I practice for some time, amateur level, was not easy, 3 nice ramps with stone and eucalyptus debris, caused some discomfort and kept us on guard. Somewhere in the 9,500m I took my Vitargo Gel, one of those ramps I knew I had already step out 3 athletes. 2nd impact, I think I reach at 3rd.
The spectators encouraged us - my home fans delirious for any spend time - with trail sneakers without elastics, I left "glued" to a Junior athlete who I had passed before the MTB - 1.8km. I snapped a Endurance bar that I eat with some cost during the climb - I had a empty feeling in the stomach – with the Junior pulled up there above, respectfully I not surpassed to finish 3rd, is difficult to explain certain acts, but life have these things, you must have an open mind!
This is learning at all aspects, "pull out" for 1 hour, is something I never did. Learning to manage insulins and efforts - this cross, the 1st was a bit "deadly"...

Good sports,
